Rescue a child, Restore a life, Raise a leader and Release a star.

The LIV model is long term cluster foster care, where children have a sense of belonging in a supportive community, modelling an African village lifestyle. We place orphaned and vulnerable children into a family environment with a trained foster mother to love them, a school to educate them, and where they receive spiritual discipleship, care and nurturing.

Who we are:

The first LIV Village has been in operation since 2010 and is located outside Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. LIV ( is a registered non-profit company as defined in the South African Companies Act, 2008, with a Board of Directors ensuring good governance, transparency and credibility.

The first 96 environmentally friendly homes are complete with 33 house mothers at present and a team of relief mothers, as well as others in training, and over 170 children in residence.

In February 2018 a Waste Water Treatment Plant was installed which feeds into a newly built dam.
